Course Overview
Echocardiography is an imaging technique that visualizes the structure and function of the heart using ultrasound waves. The course consists of 7 live lectures covering basic and advanced cases, medical management and critical care.
We start from scratch: designed for beginners — we explain the basics of the different echocardiography views, both theory and practice, with hands-on training on normal cases, then move to real pathological cases, medical report writing and comprehensive case management.
What You Will Achieve
- Echo basics: physics, techniques and standard views
- Adult echo: diagnose valve diseases and heart-muscle problems, and assess heart function
- Critical care echo: identify urgent conditions like pericardial effusion, aortic dissection and pulmonary embolism
- ICU applications: evaluate hemodynamics and fluid responsiveness, and guide life-saving procedures
- Advanced techniques: tissue Doppler, speckle tracking, contrast echo and TEE
- Advanced topics: cardiomyopathies, IHD, heart failure, pericardial diseases and cardiac masses
- Medical report writing and comprehensive case management
